Casey Green grew up in Livonia, IN where his dad Byron Green was a cutting horse trainer. Casey has always been involved with horses and showed a great amount of talent growing up. He has also always been one to have an inspired work ethic and drive that helped on their place as well as, with goals later in life. Casey was able to compete in a fair number of weekend events as a youth, but decided to go to Louisiana in 1998 to chase the NCHA senior youth world Championship. He worked under Keith Deville in exchange for going to the shows with him, and getting to show in the youth classes. Casey achieved that goal he set for himself and became the 1998 Senior Youth World Champion.

Once Casey decided he wanted to be a cutting horse trainer he went to work for Eddie Flynn in Millsap, TX. Eddie worked for Alice Walton out of Walton’s Rocking W Ranch. When Casey started his apprenticeship he had to begin from the bottom and work his way up to the top. Casey worked for three years before he was able to show one of the cutting horses trained by himself and Eddie. Once able to, Casey tried to learn every aspect of the sport from Eddie and the experiences he had showing. The arrangement with Eddie and Rocking W Ranch, was a monumental stepping stone for Casey in his career. He was there for 5 years then branched out to form his own business. Since then Casey has amassed over $800,000 Lte In the NCHA. He has been a multiple time NCHA Futurity finalist, other major aged event finalist, and a major title was that he was the 2005 Futurity Limited Open Champion on a mare that he trained and was born on their place.
