Maria Gaudette's Biography

Professional Model / Barrel Racer / Former Rodeo Queen/ Actress
Maria was born & raised in Minnesota until I was about 18 & then moved to the Oklahoma area where I stayed living out on my sisters ranch until I moved to Florida 2005.

Since Before I could walk I had been riding horses & raised around the rodeo life. Having the passion & the heart to compete, I knew I was going to no matter what it took. I started competing on my first horse (that my Dad bought me) a gelding named General, doing a multitude of jobs but not one of them being barrel racing. Not once no one thought he was any barrel horse. I wasn't going to let anyone stop me from competing, so I started working him with a few known barrel racers that ran the circuit (PRCA) in the early 90s. As he and I progressed we then started competing as much as we could for the high school rodeos in MN & OK areas.
•The very first show being Pine Bluff MN region 1 MNHSRA 1995 where we placed 1st & brought home our first check & a ton of tack (accessories)
From that point forward we excelled.
•We earned the Rookie of the year in the junior high results standing for the state of MN. As we continued to haul extensively, we ended up qualifying for youth world in 96 & 97. To name a few shows - lists of favorite barrel racing shows that I have placed/ won.
•Border Bash Winona MN placed 2nd •placed 1st Shooting won Finals for MNHSRA 1997 • MN Jr. High finals (state finals) for St. Peter MN ended placing 2nd all around in my division w 250 entries. We had won multiple & all around junior rodeo championships. The winter of 98 is when my horse General had passed. So I took a huge break. I was so heartbroken over the whole issue that I couldn't even compete for the longest time. After taking a good while off & focused on school. I than started competing in rodeo queening. I moved at this time to OK, where I stayed & helped around my sisters ranch & finished the school season off where it was that 2001 year I was crowned Ms. OHSRA. It was so nice to get back involved with something that I love doing most, helping others... I attended parades, state fairs, I rode in many IPRA shows, opened rodeos nationally & locally. Helped raise money at charities, helped out the US military often, helped local children hospitals where I had done autograph signings & paid my respects.
The following year I then started college. I worked for my father’s Business. Precision Micro EDM. My father at this same time ended up suffering from stage 4 cancer. I was forced to putting my rodeo/queening career aside. So I could take care of all business duties & stayed close to my family during this difficult time. He was on chemo for a year and luckily enough he's currently in remission to this day.

At the same time as being a queen. Here are some of my other credits\ titles that I have received throughout my life ...
